  1. There's an Andy Scott sculpture trail which is well worth a day or twos drive around, all statues being in the Central Belt. When my oldest daughter was three I got an old rusty metal 1970's rocking horse, painted it and turned it into a Kelpie for her, with celtic art knotwork for mane and fetlocks, then made a bridle of seaweed green tasseled cord and stirrups of driftwood. She went on to become an excellent horsewoman and a swimming instructor. How about that for foreshadowing. She never did get that real pony for Christmas though !
