  2. The same Gallic cavalry were probably garrisoned at Castle Hill on the Antonine Wall between Milngavie and Clydebank. I can just see them now, drinking wine, enjoying a garlic baguette and eating cheese .... what did Groundskeeper Wullie call them ?

  4. They filmed the TV series in the very early 80's just up the road from me. Even built a roman gateway for an exterior shot. Long since gone I'm afraid. @waynemcauliffe-fv5yf
