Hey, I use most of these words when appropriate, although probably not in the context of 'Romantic' period poetry. Gloaming is a fairly common Scottish word we use instead of Dusk. I'd probably use Cerulean with a hard K as it has a Latin root. I'd noticed Verdant mainly from American C19th poetry (Walt Whitman), maybe Vermont has the same French root. A Forlorn Hope is a raiding party that's on effectively a suicide mission, the sort of unlucky 'volunteer' that's sent to put ladders up against a fort wall but not likely to get up the ladder. Anyway, the gloaming is nearly upon us and I've some rubbish to take to the council tip that is next to the verdant woods - see, not 'romantic' at all 😁
