It's currency is taking so it dollars become expensive yet it's spending this now precious currency on imports. Smart policies like raising tariffs on these type of food imports. Would quickly incur the wrath of the US. Those 'new' people would find themselves being taken out in way or another. A car accident, a 'unexplained 'suicide', disappearances, trumped up charges of whatnot.
