@blackridge1491 And above all, awareness. If you have alligator arms, an 8" neck, a 22" inseam, Coke bottle glasses, the cardio of a guy who couldn't make the cross country team... 30 years ago, the strength of a guy working on his first complete push up, and the hand/eye coordination that would make Urkel feel like Brush Lee in comparison, well, don't listen to any advice on this thread other than avoid that fight by any means necessary, and if you can't avoid it, get in close and act like your life depends on not losing that fight...

You've oversimplified the point. It is absolutely true, but to a point. The #1 and #2 causes to winning a fight are one's superior ability to create and properly manage their energy And power output, and their superior training. Both those can be overcome with mindset by someone who is pretty close in both, but don't feel bad if I don't bet that way. lol
When both are pretty equal, though, then mindset/attitude can easily make the difference, just as you say.
Your fighter clearly had the overall energetic and skill advantage. Coupled with the right mindset, you get what you got.
A third key variable is body structure -- can't forget that. You could argue his opponent had the better body structure being longer, but he couldn't overcome the energy/technique dominance.
If your fighter isn't eating grass fed/finished organ meats on the regular, look into it. I avoid beef because of the toxic industrial feedlot system, but you should be able to find lamb and goat organs. He uses a lot of Mg-ATP and needs to keep that production up by eating lots of food-grade copper.
