Poor countries typically eat real food from the ground with all its nutrition in place, not processed out, and doesn't have metallic iron filings fortified into much of what they eat, the pretext of doing so based on a whopper of a lie. You eat ironnfilings today based on the pretext that anemia is bad for pregnancy. It is actually great for pegnanacy, and for an obvious reason. The baby's miniature vasculature system needs thinner blood, and so the body thins it by removing some hemoglobin from it. Hence, anemia in almost all pregnant mothers. Research show hemodilution produces the healthiest babies! IOW, the healthiest babies are born to anemic mothers not given metallic iron filings to oxidize both Mom and Baby at the worst time possible. Reactuve (labile) iron + oxygen == oxidative stress == inflammation == disease. CovFeFe == Covid iron overload. High serum ferritin means high reactive iron in the cells/tissues/organs. Ferritin is supposed to be inside the cell. It failed and dumped its reactive labeled iron inside the cell before being ejected into the serum. The worst cases of CovFeFe had very high ferritin levels, meaning they were iron overloaded in their cells and tissues.
