@rosiesmallshaw Coffee is almost certainly net bad. First, it covers up your falling organic energy production as a stimulant. Second, it elevates calcium in your blood. Of course, you want the beautiful lie... not the ugly truth. ;-)

Preferred energy source can mean different things. The most efficient energy source is quality fat. You get way more Mg-ATP from a fat molecule that a glucose molecule. I think it is almost double. But the body will burn glucose before fat, perhaps because elevated glucose is toxic and the body is trying to mitigate a potentially poisonous situation in the blood.

@vox.vera.vocalcoaching Dr. Thomas Seyfried recommends Keto Mojo. I think the plus version has cheaper and better test strips. The GKI (glucose / ketone index) adds significant value. Search his name on YT to learn more. Also search Dr. Chris Palmer and Morley Robbins, but only if you care about respecting physiological natural law and optimizing your wellness outcomes. BTW, my current belief is that an alkalized Root Cause Protocol keto diet is a therapy to address acute symptoms and adding in some more carbs, perhaps even up to Zone Diet 40/30/30 levels, is fine when no acute symptoms are present. Feeling low energy is an acute symptom. Coffee dependence for energy boosts is an acute symptom in my book, too.

@srisungazesplash1340 I tend to think it was caffeine that did it, IIRC, not decaf coffee. I heard Dr. Hal Huggins say that his blood tests revealed this outcome. I don’t recall him explaining why it happened, just that it did happen. He was a dentist who helped so many people recover from mercury toxicity he was driven out of business. Coffee is the #1 promoted/suggested behavior in Empire media. That alone let’s you know it isn’t good for you. It is also very acidic and will drain your alkaline mineral reserves over time. It also masks your organic loss of cellular energy so that by the time the effects become obvious, your body will be Uber depleted and much less capable of recovery. IMCO, of course. @urbanbeach5535 Look up "Barry Sears Zone Diet." His program came out in 1995 and is still better than what everyone else produces off the same concepts. It takes a bit more thought, but not too much. Q key add on is The Root Cause Protocol -- avoid the iron filings like it was a Biblical plague (it is -- Daniel 2:43-44).

Look into Dr. Barry Sears and his Zone Diet. He was sharing this information almost 30 years ago, and I'd argue it is even better.
