  1. Harbor Freight sells a heavy duty chain breaker for less than $20 out the door. Use a coupon and save even more. I tried a vice first and it wasn't happening. With the chain breaker, a long 17mm socket, and. 3/8" ratchet about 8-9" long, the pin snapped out of it's locked position in less than 10 seconds. Just push the chain breaker's handle against a flat surface and hold the back side down with your off hand. The seemingly impossible turned trivial when the right tool was deployed. Do make sure the punch pin is correctly lined up with the shaft pin before cranking down with the ratchet.

  2. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it makes sense to use a little AT-205 Re-Seal on my new distributor seals before reinstalling them? I'd like to minimize the risk of a leak and maximize the lifespan of these seals.
