  1. Note - he's inferring that the implied amperage from a 240 V shock is more than the implied amperage of a 120 V shock. The voltage is not relevant to the shock. A gazillion volts won't shock you, UNLESS the amperage it produces is sufficient to shock you. And then, the amount of shock depends on the amperage. I am NOT an electrical engineer, nor anywhere close, but that's the way I understand it after being scolded by more one electronics technician.
