The new Porsche Taycan Turbo S looks like a better sports car than any of their ICE cars. It has the lowest center of gravity and the lowest acceleration figures of all cars in their current lineup. And you can get it for the same price as your average 911 or Panamera. The future is here.

Maro Tuchyna It depends a ton on the country. Places like France, Sweden, and Norway have almost completely carbon neutral electric grids whereas Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands rely on gas and coal.

Markosz Are you from the year 1980 or 2080?

A lot of the ethanol found in fuels like E10 (10% ethanol) is corn alcohol. Ethanol releases CO2 in the production phase (ie. fermentation) and when it's burned. However, the CO2 that it releases was collected and trapped by the corn plant while it was growing, so it's merely recycling the same carbon already found in the atmosphere rather than releasing underground deposits into our air. Therefore, ethanol is close to carbon-neutral because its net CO2 emissions come from farming and transportation.

@Dave5843-d9m The Tesla Model 3 and Taycan Turbo are two different markets altogether. People who buy Model 3s want a daily driver that isn't too expensive. People who buy Taycans are wealthy car enthusiasts who want the top of the range luxury, acceleration, and handling. The Turbo S is actually .6 secs faster 0-60 than the Model 3 Performance, so it does deliver. Teslas don't compete with the Taycan as much as other Porsche models do in terms of market niche.

Electric cars are louder on the outside, though, because they are heavier.
