Kids too young to speak coming in illegally. I’m sure it's their fault that they're locked up in a cage where they're denied legal aid. Jesus christ.

Actual Finn here. Can confirm.
3
Finnish person here. It'd be nice if you didn't cherrypick data and misinterpret it in order to smear us. For example, you point out that Sweden has zero inheritance tax. What about Finland? What about Norway? Just because Sweden has no inheritance tax, it doesn't mean that Bernie is lying about Scandinavia or misconstruing our policies. We're different countries and we have different policies even though the general model is roughly the same. Please stop lying.

Immigration is a net positive to the United States. Your grandparents would know. There is no crisis at the border. This is a false problem created by the Republicans because they need a boogeyman. If something is an issue, it's America sending American gangs to Latin America to terrorize the local people. Just look up the 18th Street Gang.

cordellscott We're talking about kids here. Little kids. America has less heart for small children than kennel dogs.
1
@cordellscott At least put the kids together in the same cell with their parents and teach them English. What the hell do you think?
1
@stephenfrancis9498 There's a crisis you say? Which one is responsible for more deaths in the United States: gun violence or immigration?
1
@stephenfrancis9498 Exactly! America is at full employment, which economists say is around 4%. Immigrants are not stealing anyone's jobs because there are more jobs than working age people. That's why America should try to gain more workers and stop them from killing each other.
1
@stephenfrancis9498 It's a false dilemma. What is there to handle? How has immigration impacted your life negatively? Besides, the president has married two immigrants and the previous one was the son of a 3rd world immigrant. Immigration is essentially the core unifier of the country, its birth story.
1
@stephenfrancis9498 Why are these particular people in a jail? Who have they hurt? Did anyone ask them whether they would perhaps like to work for you? As long as they don't get into the wrong circles, of course. As a foreign exchange student in the US, I don't understand this mentality.
1
@stephenfrancis9498 How about you guys just give these guys greencards as long as they are background checked and behave themselves? America needs more workers, not more prisoners.
1
@stephenfrancis9498 That's how I arrived in the US. I applied to a €10K year-long program and got in. Why did I get to come to the US legally and go about my daily business so much more easily? Why is there no path for these people? I hope it's not because I'm white, but I don't see too many white people in the US detention camp footage.
1
Sally Portillo Except you can't really access the legal methods because the Republican admin refuses to process applications. You need to study things for yourself instead of trusting what they tell you.
1
@irkaart5556 I would, except it's not possible and I don't live in America. Thank god. The literal reason why they're there in the first place is that they're not allowed to leave. I'm sure many would be willing to adopt them and help them at least meet their parents one more time.
1
@MetalDetroit Fundamentally untrue. Trump started the zero policy. Look it up. Using google is easy.
1
Holy crap what a dysfunctional family.
1
There's a difference between temporary emergency shelters for families in a time of crisis and indefinite concentration camps for kids.
