  1. I live in Canada, currently we have an Arctic front, I live in the South West Coast of British Columbia known to have the most mild winters in Canada. After having record highs for December like +9 C, where daffodils and tulips were coming up, but tonight the temperature dropped within a few hours, we dropped down to -10 C. Other provinces are expected to drop to -34 C across Canada they are opening up warming centers for the homeless to sleep and eat, plus give out blankets and warm clothing to them. When the Arctic front arrived it arrived with winds, which knocked out power in some areas. We lost power due to downed lines, but the power was back on in three hours. While the power was out we burned logs in our fireplace if it had been longer we would have fired up our generator, neighbours turned on their natural gas fireplaces.
