@edwardanderson4678 I've never served in the military, but I just turned 75 which is a feat as I was told in my 20's I wouldn't make it to age 50 due to internal injuries from a car accident. Since turning 50, sadly I started to out live my parents, siblings, in-laws, cousins and friends, but it enabled me to be there for them when I was needed. Since I purchased a wrist blood pressure monitor, on the advice of my doctor, I've discovered my blood pressure is high when I watch Ukraine updates, therefore I've limited which Ukraine updates I watch, I use to watch them all. When you're feeling depressed or upset find something you enjoy to distract yourself as it will relax you. I've found my blood pressure is low , (a good low) when I read, garden, play cards/ board games, listen to music (the oldies) and cooking. Twenty years ago I use to volunteer at Seniors care facility it's priority was for veterans, in the dementia and alzheimer's section, which I really enjoyed plus it enabled me to feel as if I was giving something back for their sacrifice in WW2. Some just need assistance eating their meals, doing crafts, being read to or during bingo. Many had recessed to their youth therefore during music time, it was WW2 music it enabled me to experience a little what that generation was like in their youth. Being female it was great the men called me sweetheart and some rushed to open a door for me and the ladies asked me to help apply nail polish on their nails. If you're interested in learning to cook special meals, I recommend on YouTube, Chef Jean-Pierre, although very informative and easy to follow as he use to be an instructor and had his own restaurant, you'll find yourself laughing as he is so funny and up beat. His Ultimate Macaroni and Cheese is to die for or his Lobster Mac and Cheese. During difficult times I reminded myself that today is not forever, as there is nothing permanent except change.
