@terrywebster9772 Sorry I knew you meant Ukraine. I should have been clearer, since Russia provided fighter jets and pilots against the West in previous wars then the West shouldn't be shy by returning the same by supplying fighter jets and pilots on a volunteer bases to Ukraine.

@terrywebster9772 I was named after my aunt's sister, who was my aunt thru marriage. Her sister was named after her grandmother or great grandmother, back then given names were often misspelled by accident or intentional. I answer to all forms including shorten versions but this full version is what my father always called me that is when he was not annoyed with me.

Soviet Union sent fighter jets with pilots in the Korean war against the US, UK and Canada who were supporting South Korea ( North Korea was supported by Russia and China). China and the Soviet Union provided massive military and economic aid to ( Communist) North Vietnam, Russia sent fighter jets and possibly pilots (as Soviet Union trained pilots, anti-craft gunners in the USSR and rendered military and engineering assistance to the Vietnamese People's Arm and China sent 300,000 military troops.

A former secretary-general answers “ In May 2002 at the Rome Summit, attended by heads of Sate and Governments of NATO countries and Russian Federation, Nato-Russia were forging a new relationship among other agreements, Putin signed a declaration ”where he agreed that independent countries had the right to decide their own security.” According to the Lord Robertson when he was NATO secretary General and Chairman of the North Atlantic Council during nine meetings Putin attended Putin never made any objections of the three Baltic Sates Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia becoming members of NATO, which were formally part of the USSR. Sir Robertson said there are other solutions NATO members at the this recent summit may decide to do to persuade Putin to bring his military back to Russia.
