  8. @itinsuranceguy 1. Kevin McCarthy was removed on Oct 3rd when he separated support for Ukraine from the bill to avoid a government shutdown. Was this due to Republicans in congress being against support for Ukraine or not? Therefore the aid to Ukraine was delayed. 2. On 7th Hamas attacks Israel. Nov 2nd the new speaker Johnson ( a Republican and Trump supporter) The bill was only for Israel aid at 14.5 billion which was approved, This bill excluded Ukraine support. 3. Johnson then tied support for Ukraine support with border control, instead of separate bills. Despite after 9 11 Ukraine sent troops to Afghanistan to support the US plus allowed the US use of their air space and their airstrips for cargo planes. 4. Johnson is taking or following directions by Trump who doesn't want the border control passed as he is using the issue for the election. 5. Johnson now wants another separate bill for Israel, again excluding Ukraine. To me it's obvious Johnson doesn't want aid for Ukraine and is taking directions from Trump. Therefore if Trump is elected will he cut all aid to Ukraine? Will Trump also stop selling arms to Ukraine allies? Will Trump take the US out of NATO or try to influence the other NATO members?

  9. I believe Johnson is more interested in advancing his career in politics (he hopes under Trump) than he is serving his country.

  10. I do believe the allies of the US will lose faith and trust in the US. As it appears the Republicans and Trump are throwing Ukraine under the bus. When the only time article 5 of NATO was used was after 9 11, NATO countries and allies who are not members of NATO had boots on the ground. Ukraine had boots on the ground in Afghanistan, plus allowed the use of their airspace and airstrips. Iraq Desert Shield-Storm 1990-1991 United states led coalition force with the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwaiti. The Iraq war in 2003 , the US led a coalition force of the UK, Australia, Denmark and Poland. Trump a few days ago said " NATO 'will never help' US in case of an attack."
