  2.  @whynottalklikeapirat  Your buddy is the exception and not the norm. I am over 60, female, petite and work out in gym lifting weights, can lift more than my peers and those many years younger than myself. My workout partners are generally 30 or 40 years my junior, but that is also the exception not the norm. I don't have the stamina to keep up with the younger ones, nor the health as my immune system is much weaker than someone in their 20's-30's nor the ability to learn and adapt than I did when I was young. I believe I would deteriorate much faster in the front lines therefore be used just for cannon fodder.

  3.  @ricardolorrio8228  Except Ukraine gained their independence in 1991 thru a referendum after historic invasions and wars with Russia for their independence . This situation with Ukraine now would be in comparison countries who were part of the British Empire who have since gained their independence ( such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Ireland, Barbados, US etc.) being invaded by the UK but are much smaller as well as neighbours of the UK. Or Russia invading and annexing Alaska, which was sold to the US in 1867, after Russia offered to sell Alaska to the United States in 1859. Alaska had been inhabited for thousand of years by indigenous tribes by the the Yupik and the Inupiat, Russia first landed there in 1741, Russia later confirmed its rule over the territory in 1799 basically for fur trade.
