On 17 March 2023, Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (“ICC” or “the Court”) issued warrants of arrest for two individuals in the context of the situation in Ukraine: Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Ms Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova. Which is for the abduction of the Ukrainian children.

  2. It is up to Ukraine alone to decide what offers of peace they accept or not, as they are paying the price in human lives and destruction of their beautiful country. I highly doubt Ukraine will accept that offer by Putin as it is not a peace offer but an offer to surrender.

  3. After a civil war between the PRC and ROC after the end of WW2. In 1971, UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 recognised the PRC (Beijing) as the legal representative of China in the UN, and gave it the seat on the Security Council that had been held by the ROC (Taiwan). Since then Beijing blocks Taiwan from being a member of the UN, as Beijing doesn't recognise Taiwan as a sovereign state.
