@braindrain8055 Well Zelensky started saying about getting nuclear weapon before everything unfolded. I guess Putin just followed his principles of "if the fight is inevitable then strike first".
2
You are right, because zelensky is to blame for putin's actions.

@flightedits7590 Mine was too.
2
No, it's just pure russophobia. I didn't make any shit to them although they almost started to hiss at me after they found out I'm Russian although I'm not even from Russia.

@Xeeni87 Ukraine didn't even try to deescalate the situation in Donbas. It was a country that signed Minsk agreement. It was a country that after peace talks in Turkey already had another statement next day which didn't suit Russian side. The war started right after Zelensky spoke about the possibility of breaking the Budapest memorandum. If there's someone to blame then it's Zelensky, I don't blame Ukrainians fighting.

@nahli8619 Because they always used derogatory terms towards Russians even before the war. If you didn't see that doesn't mean it didn't exist. She was right, she didn't even mean the current situation but the thing that was a long before all that.

@shitun1ify do you mean Russian soldiers? With all those stories about rapes etc.? Well, during these events it's obvious there would be propaganda from both sides. Believing only one side is kind of not logic. Considering that Ukrainian officials were spotted lying multiple times, which they later admitted (ghost of Kiev), and some Arma footages as their military achievement. I would be so certain to believe them blindly about the stuff they say about Russian soldiers. Also considering one Ukrainian minister was fired for that matter since she tended to compose too ridiculous stories about Russian atrocities, which even made you laugh by the level of their absurdity.
1
@shitun1ify There's no xenophobia against them as long as they behave themselves. So far I usually see the news how they stabbed somebody or participated in a mass fight with other immigrants. I wouldn't do anything bad towards them as long as they don't touch me. Ukrainians are on the other hand tend to hate all Russians for their mere existence. They even hate those ones who hate Russians because they explain it that you don't hate them enough.

@chadbateman4777 yeah, all these guys who called that a war must be in gulags already. Then you call Russians brainwashed.
1
@alibabaev1135 American politics don't seem to have any love to Russia too. I didn't hear Russian politics say killing as many American soldiers must be someone's goal, although I hear that from American ones about Russian soldiers. Don't say it's only Russia to blame.

@50cali8er If only Ukraine was nationalist it would be fine. Saying "our children will be going to school while the Donbas children will be sitting in the basements" (Poroshenko) is not nationalistic but chauvinistic. Officials saying they need to kill Russian children and castrate Russian soldiers are also not nationalistic but nazi. Nationalist and socialist are the 2 terms are alright separately but not fine together which is usually simply labeled as nazi.

Да. Неприятные исторические факты для слушателя на пол часа.

New Zealand would be on the top list I guess :)

I doubt he meant the actual culture or something like that rather than a politics matter. Although there's a partnership between Russia and Turkey now but their relationships were never great throughout the history. The sphere of their interests often collide between them like in Syrian war, I can say. Also Russia was backstabbed multiple times by Turkey even if it wasn't something that was made on purpose (assassination of a minister, jet shot down). But for average people there's nothing that divides them.

So what does it say? That a guy in a costume cannot have an opinion? None of these guys' opinions matter then since they are all illiterate in history and geopolitics.
1
For your note nobody hates Germany there.

You could get called a swine or a kacap even before the war. I'm half Ukrainian and I know what she's talking about, she's right actually.

Ok

There's a difference between being nationalist and nazi. That guy was right. When they were merged into Ukrainian army they still had their nazi insignia as the main logo. They just recently changed that since it gave them a bad look to western media.

Godspeed Russia.

If the West calls Russia authoritarian doesn't mean it's authoritarian.

@Anna Wiktor Neighboring countries always have some beef between each other. Ireland and Britain, China and Japan etc. Taking into account Russia is the biggest country so it neighbours with many countries.

@yallla7012 y'all better to read some history books. Right now y'all too narrow minded: with one side being saints and other one as the pure evil. What nations did it destroy if they even still have republics in Russia itself? What Russia did is quite opposite as it actually created some nations, which later became a trouble for it.

Most of the people interviewed here are usually liberal.

@shamco8033 China immediately stopped all partnership with Russia after this guy's comment. Or maybe not because I guess they have can get a joke.
