  1. Nope. They're discontinuing the models where that was the only option. They're not offering to fix the sabotage for already purchased ones, even at the owner's expense.

  2. The fucking locked door to the car already happens*. Rental companies have locked cars *in use and actively and knowingly prevented emergency service. The particular tale I recall was remarkably insane, involving a baby stuck in a remotely locked car with the mother outside, and that car blocking access for a separate ambulance emergency.

  3. There is no cloud. It's at best someone else's computer. Just as "smart" means incomplete (usually lacking basic controls), "cloud" means incomplete and inaccessible.
