Refund? They should return the stolen goods and compensate the victims. This is them doing some of that in hopes they won't be forced to do it all.

Sony are literally infamous for repeated bad acts like this. They never cared.

@--_--IMP--_-- It's a solid question. One example would be all those times they refuse to play back what's been paid for and predownloaded, striking in particular when it's harmful (as you're unable to connect and performed steps to access that specific content). This instance may have been averted but it's still their routine behaviour. And all those times, you're under suspicion, surveillance and punishment for daring to pay them for their services.

Realize, this is routine for them. Their brand is big and they rely on a fresh influx of marks, burning bridges as they go.

Savoir-faire Linux. You're welcome.

They locked us out from PSN. The system still sort of works. Obviously coercion at best, but SOP for Sony. Now there are some PS3 titles that won't run, requiring me to destroy a rare computer for their pleasure.

@andreivaughn1468 Titles released after the never-ending April Fool's day, and the Other OS capable PS3 with an installed OS (and full hardware PS2 emulator). And to top it off, they wouldn't return the disk space, either. This machine was purchased for its Linux capability; they wish to retroactively destroy a key selling point. This isn't the first feature they've ripped out of Playstation series devices, either. They used to be able to play SACD, for instance. They're also doing the victim blaming routine, telling me their aggression is someone else's fault.
