Comments by "LoneTech" (@0LoneTech) on "YouTube loves scammers, but they hate you." video.
Two days? I once spent over a year returning to and rereporting the same blatant spam, at reducing frequencies. Absolutely nothing happened to the spam, but youtube frequently deletes my comments instead.

YouTube's response has been entirely clear: They know this pisses people off, they know they're doing it without reason, and they don't care one bit. They've intentionally designed it to be unfixable. For them, it's far more important that a system be automatic, no matter how wrong (including directly illegal), than to make any sort of sense.

@6AxisSage The YouTube app on Android is... revealing. It hangs the Android operating system at a level nothing should be able to. Even switching away from it doesn't help.

No, it's a lot worse than not doing anything. Their system is designed to randomly and irreversibly punish real users while having no effect on the spambots.

That sounds the same, not worse.

@ThatZenoGuy They literally do it without reason because the system they put in place to do it has no reasoning; it's not designed to identify any rule being broken. Their reasons for instating and never fixing the system are distinct, and mostly center on a policy of not doing the right thing if there is a lazier option. They absolutely operate with malice sometimes, but this is more sloth and avarice.

Best as I can tell, because they want you to accept scams. Most of the report options are purely fake, so the only reason they wouldn't include the category is to pretend it doesn't exist.

Do they? By their prevalence, it seems they're used to drive clicks on the report menu...

Well, congratulations! On YouTube, it's not faceless employees, it's automated bots! By design, they cannot and will not correct any errors or explain any rules.
