  1. Better yet, visible dislike counts gave a popularity measure to suggest confidence in the rating. Far from perfect, but helpful for viewers. Youtube decided to "protect" posters from "negativity" by... only showing it to them. I have no clue why they decided to push that lie.

  5. NewPipe has downloading. The only way where it isn't strictly better than Youtube's app is that it can't post comments. It also supports Peertube.

  7. Very rarely an ad campaign produces something worthwhile. For instance, Honda's "The Cog". I'm not going to buy that car, nor will I go out of my way to select any Honda product, but the chain reaction was beautiful.
