Reminds me of an air filtering system. It was advertised such that the only thing they guaranteed was that it would make noise. Addendum: Now I think about it, that's not true. They also guaranteed it wouldn't filter better than a certain limit.

It's a good point for sure, but I remember buying a top of the line ASUS monitor and being refused service because they had an nvidia component in it. And that was full of advertisements of ASUS VIP service.
