This case shows you shouldn't accept their "free" offers either. They're claiming the "free trial" is why they should get away with negligent manslaughter.

@ddkapps You forgot the "we can unilaterally change these terms at any time" part.

It's not just tightening. The parts that slide don't have the right surface properties or shape. You get effects like tightening deforming them so only the center has any pressure, where it has the least leverage to stop it folding. Adding a rubber washer might help.

I'm stupidly sensitive to gluten. Contamination happens. For me it results in negative nutrition and several painful hours stuck in the lavatory, with damage that doesn't fully recover. I'd probably be more careful about it if it was immediately life threatening; as long as that doesn't happen multiple times every week, I'll live. Other conditions can be far more severe, e.g. peanut allergies can cause asthma and cardiac arrest. The level described here is where an article goes from "gluten free" to "may contain traces of gluten". That distinction happens when it's handled at a facility that also handles gluten, even if they take care to avoid contamination. Even "gluten free" is only a concentration limit. I might prefer to avoid the risk by getting a prewrapped food, but it's fairly normal for restaurants not to have that (or single serving packs). Far better they say they can't accomodate me than serve me a sauce that ruins my night.
