  1. Short of it: Yes, it's bad. Lenovo take money and spend it on harming customers. For instance, their computers refuse to work if you put a different brand wifi board in. This isn't because they lack drivers or anything, it's just some preemptive sabotage.

  2. In this case, I think Lenovo may well have been doing it longer than Apple. And it was always hostile behaviour.
