Absolutely. Why else would the driver for the NPU be Windows 11 exclusive? They're also the ones who set the performance demand - because they want their always on spying system everywhere.

@EwanMarshall The transistors have an analog range. Undervolting too far makes them partway between on (saturated) and off, which means the complementary pairs that are never supposed to be on together are. And this will be worst where your weakest links are, while the overall power consumption is so low your cooling won't even notice the hot spots burning themselves out. And it's gradual damage; the first you'll notice is when it can't operate as fast anymore.

Here's the DDOS scenario: You file an issue with MITRE. You never complete the investigation. NVD sees all those unfilled fields and just puts in the worst case rather than unknown. NVD publish the scary rating, and thousands of security teams get alarms. Then those all track down the unsuspecting maintainers of a package where the original insignificant issue was fixed years ago. Suddenly the maintainer is bogged down with FUD and can't work on real issues.

@BrodieRobertson Still a fact it's better to go zigbee only than wifi, and better to avoid "smart" on most things where it means "will break when we abandon the required spyware mobile app".
