@philwill0123 But you can rent an apartment in the center of Moscow for $400 per month. Not a luxurious once, a Brezhnev era one, but a real apartment. In my area of central Coast California, people seriously advertise to let others put a trailer on their land and live in it for $800 a month.

Can you guys really be so dense. The point is that we've been told, among other things, that sanctions will collapse the Russian economy, that Russians are 'Orcs' who have to steal toilets from the oh so advanced Ukraine, that Russia is a 'gas station masquerading as a country'. In fact the Russian things good so far, they rank significantly higher than the Ukraine (before the war) on the Human Development Index and the GDP is twice that of the 'Borderland' (measured by PPP), and Russia has advanced industries and the sixth largest economy in the world as measured by Purchasing Power Parity. I feel deprived though, I haven't seen the shopping cart escalator before. BTW grocery store vids from Russia, Ukraine, and elsewhere are huge on YouTube. Maybe you should do some to increase your subscribers.
