@theoptimisticskeptic Somehow Zelensky thought he could come in, talk over the President, correct the President multiple times, roll his eyes, make faces, and just generally behave like a petulant teenager. Vance and especially Trump put the guy in his place. There's a saying, dude...beggars can't be choosers.

@moristar No dude. That's 'Ukrainian' propaganda...unfortunately repeated by one famous 'scholar' of the region...Timothy Snyder. Yes, people in Moscow called themselves Moscovite, just as people from Los Angeles call themselves 'Angelenos' but are also Californians and Americans. Travelers accounts show the Moscovites, Novogradians, Suzdalians etc called themselves mostly Rus. It was primarily a religious, and then ethnic/linguistic identity. Basically it meant Orthodox East Slavic speaker. From a state perspective the continuity between so-called 'Kievan Rus' (a historian's construct' and any modern day state is the Rurikid dynasty and that ended up eventually in Moscow. Ivan III was the first Tsar of all Russia (1462). By then all the other 'Rus' had come under non-Orthodox, non-east Slav domination (mostly by Poles) though they still called themselves Rus or Ruski (Ruthenian is a Latinization)

@KeithTaylor-tv3fe About half of us do. We all new he was going to do a lot to stop this war and, if not, at least wind down our involvement in it. We have our own borders to deal with

@veritaspk You know you guys were the aggressors throughout most of your history. The Ukraine wouldn't even exist other than your attempts to Polonize and Catholicize the Rus. But Rus eventually won.

In foreign policy and military matters he pretty much does. That's how Biden kept on funding the Kievan regime despite no congressional funding, relying on executive authority. But since you are a hyphenated American you probably don't understand.
