@christianbolisca1493 Elie from Russia, who is supposedly a state-paid propagandist, did a video on the worst areas of Moscow. I've seen several others. That 'Varlamov' guy isn't under arrest as far as I know. In fact, I saw him filmed in London by Ukrainian Pravda.

@RRaymer Well I haven't been in SoHo for about 10 years but I worked very near there and the place was always a dump even on weekdays and much more so on weekends. Every side alley smells of piss, cigarette butts everywhere, just effin disgusting.

@SpeedyJuiceMan The GOP was the original environmentalist party. Teddy Roosevelt saved Yellowstone, Richard Nixon estabblished the Environmental Protection Agency. You can look it up. Democrats are fake environmentalists who just want to use 'global warming' to establish more governmental control. If they were real environmentalists they wouldn't be for mass immigration, which is the worst factor destroying our environment in the US.

No dude. I used to work about 3 blocks from SoHo. That's just slightly more trash than a typical weekend night. The whole city is pretty dingy, even the parks.

@jipikayej Before this phase of the war, i.e in 2020 the Ukraine had half the GDP per capita, as the Russian Federation and was far behind the RF on the Human Development Index. Before the war the Ukrainian government banned political parties and put the lead opposition politician under house arrest. It also conducted a war against people who it claimed as its own citizens, people who had been voting to have autonomy and to be able to use their own language officially since 1994.

I'll bet more people here watch Bald and Bankrupt and Varlamov and other vloggers that concentrate on the crappy side of Russia vs. those who concentrate on the good side. But from what I've seen from guys like the Russia Plus and Inside Russia (before the war) or Sams Russian Adventures and Real Reporter (probably working for the state) or Kiun B or Maria from Yakutia or a bunch of other Russian or 'in Russia' vloggers, Russia outside of Moscow and Peter is pretty okay especially only 30 years out from a really stupid economic system, and only 20 years out from the disaster that was neoliberal strip mining during 90s Russia.
