  1. Chocolate hasn't always been strictly for pleasure. There's a reason US GI's in WWII always had chocolate to give away, and it wasn't so they could woo the local ladies. It was because chocolate is a great way to bind calories, protein and fat into a high calorie compact package that will be eagerly consumed. The US wasn't the first to get this...in the First World War the brits had 'Marching Chocolate', manufactured in Norwich, the same city that gives us Coleman's English Mustard today.
