@vladsaliie2149 Yes, and tens if not hundreds of thousands were forced off their land...not by the central government but by local governments operating at the behest of bankers who either held mortgages on the land itself or were owed money for lending to the farmers to buys seed, fuel, fertilizer, and other inputs. Wasn't nearly as massive or as fatal as Soviet collectivization, but processes were similar.
