@thetryleague7978 There was no even accusation of 'genocide' in Kosovo, let alone proof. NATO's given reason for the bombing was the death of under 30 'Kosovars' who may or may not have been KLA and feared 'ethnic cleansing' which hadn't even materialized.

@badfaceday7509 This is a very naive view of NATO. NATO attacked Yugoslavia (as it still was in 1999) outside of any NATO territory and on the flimsiest of circumstance. NATO bombed Libya outside of NATO territory. Major NATO members participated in the invasion of Iraq. NATO participated not only in the initial invasion of Afghanistan (sort of understandable post 9/11) but also its 20 year occupation of the country. NATO is an aggressive armed bureaucracy and like any bureaucracy it seeks to expand.

The 'logic' here is so confused it isn't even wrong. NATO is an actor in the geopolitical arena. It is mostly the US and tends to do the US bidding, and the inclusion of Eastern European countries only makes that more the case. Nobody believes that Latvia or Estonia or even Poland is equal to the US with regard to NATO. The UK is basically the US's lapdog and has been for decades, and while France and Germany used to show the occasional independent streak that it now long gone and was going before February 2022. Russia's position is clear...security for one nation or even a group of small nations and the expense of another nation. That is what the OSCE was about. Security is indivisible and if one nation of even group of nations (not really, but let's maintain that illusion for a moment) seeks security at the expense of another, rather than engaging in diplomacy and dialog, well, pushback is coming.
