@Ode-to-Odysseus That's not the case. In fact Russia has just reached the outskirts of Kupyansk (which was retaken by the Ukraine in the vaunted Autumn 2022 counteroffensive. Plus the area of Kursk controlled by the Ukraine has shrunk to 50% of the 1200 km^2 or even less.

@robertginsburg8113 An orderly retreat is hard to pull off. This is doubly true when the political leadership insists on holding positions that from a tactical perspective should be abandoned. Fortunately a lot of Ukrainian soldiers are making that decision themselves.
