LOL, this dude's body language gives the game away. Fact is the Ukraine is running out of its ultra-nationalists that want to fight this war. Whole brigades worth of dudes are deserting. The TCK (draft) offices have been attacked on average once a week since the start of 2025. There have been casualties among the draft officers. Even in the West of the Ukraine people have fought of the press gangs who 'busify' young and middle aged men (forcing them into busses and thence to the front). And why not, the Ukraine is part of 'Russki Mir' in the sense that nearly a fifth (17%) of the population is willing to say on a government form that they identify as Russian and fully 50% admit that Great Russian is the language they use at home.

@smertrusne3156 Russia doesn't stop anyone from leaving, unlike the Ukraine. In fact, many Ukrainian passport holders are moving to Russia.

@Comm.DavidPorter The 'Budapest Memorandum' simply requires the US and UK to go to the UN Security Council to raise the issue if the Ukraine's security was threatened. We did. Of course the whole thing was. afiction, in that the Ukraine never controlled the nuclear weapons left over from Soviet times that happened to be on its territory.

And btw, the Ruble, which was hovering between 105 and 110 to 1 USD throughout December 2024 (going as low as 113 to the dollar), is now (Feb 12, 2025) at 96.05 to the dollar, and trending higher.
