The funny thing is that this logic applies to those in the US who say that the 95 Billion we are going to give Ukraine, Israel and others 'creates jobs' in the US and thus is good for our economy. But those guys that are being paid in the US to make 155 mm shells are essentially producing something that will be thrown away, with zero benefit to us. We are borrowing money, at interest, to employ people in a useless and more than likely loosing endeavor. The labor and steal could be used to build high speed rail or wind turbines, or a border wall. Instead it's going down the drain. At any rate Russia (Roscosmos) just ferried a NASA astronaut up to the ISS and brought another one down. After an initial sharp shock inflation seems pretty low in Russia. They seem to be doing okay in absolute terms, and especially in relation to the 'ruble will be rubble' exceptions of people like this guy.
