  1. ​​ @larssoderstrom1666  There is at least one guy from northern Europe living in Russia who has a YouTube channel. Survival Russia or some such. There are several Americans, some Brits, French people, Canadians, etc with same. The Russian economy is the fifth largest in the world as measured, properly, by PPP. And while I haven't been to Russia I have travelled and lived in several former Yugoslav countries and they don't seem anywhere near as developed as even 'provincial' Russia. Edit: Looking at the Purchasing Power Parity figures Russia is indeed ahead of most of the Balkan countries, even some EU ones like Bulgaria and Albania.

  2. ​ @Valerie-uw5cd Russians are perfectly free to leave. Many did a year and a half ago. Of those many...maybe most..have returned.

  4. Russian males lost 10 years of life expectancy while guys like Bill Browder were free to exploit the country with local colaborators under the guise of neoliberal reform. Putin ended their gravy train and subsequently that loss of life expectancy has been reversed and then some.
