Lol the logo makes s difference. And the churches have been linked for centuries. Ukraine is trying to institute its own national church but many priests and parishioners aren't going along.

@roryspickett9881 The Kyiv regime sent soldiers into churches and monasteries that wouldn't go along with the new national church. Not only priests and monks resisted but parishioners. I saw one clip on Telegram where hardcore Ukrainian nationalists surrounded a church and tried to force parishioners to sing the Ukrainian national anthem in the church. A real Orthodox lady said "church is for praying to God not for singing national anthems". Ukraine is not some fuzzy feel good democracy it is a place where twice ultranationalists have violently overturned legitimate elections, where opposition leaders are arrested and where opposition supporters have been suppressed by far right gangs who often larp as Nazis. And all this was happening long before the Russian invasion.

@roryspickett9881 I have never heard the US national anthem at a church service. Yanukovitch was legitimately elected. Rather than try to defeat him next elwction, ultranationalists Ukrainians from the west of the country used violence, sponsored by West. Look up Victoria Nuland.
