  4.  @MKZ3003  LOL. The Russian empire defeated the Ottoman empire and the "Crimean" Tatar Khanate and somehow the Ukrainians end up land that was never their's and never Ukrainian. The Russians built the cities in the south and east and renewed Kiev after its Polish domination. People from what is now the Ukraine fully participated in the Russian empire's expansion to the east, yet today's Ukrainians whine about being 'colonized'. Bolshevik generals from the Ukraine put down the first peasant revolt against the Red government, look up the Tambov rebellion. Ukrainians have the best PR ever.
