  1. This is tragic and I feel for the family, friends, fellow aviators in their wing, and shipmates. However... A statistical analysis of the gender of pilots who are involved in fatal mishaps might be interesting. Race/ethnicity too for that matter.

  2. @scott21113 True but how do the stats compare with female pilots? I take it from efforts to 'improve diversity' that male pilots are still the overwhelming norm.
