  7. Iranians are not Arabs. Nor has Iran been in direct conflict with Israel. It is also questionable whether Israel is part of 'the West', such as it is. The majority of Israeli Jews are, I believe, either Sephardim from Arab countries or ultra-Orthdox with roots in Eastern Europe. Neither group is particularly Western as the term in understood today.
