@lassetapper2973 Man you are dumb. 'White Russian' ijn the context of refugees means the 'Whites' , the anti-Bolsheviks. There is another meaning; Byelo-Russian literally means 'white Russian', but from the context it should be clear what was meant. And you might want to get out of your little 'racist' (a word I hate to use but it proper here) NAFO circle. Russians the ethnic group are clearly caucasian (maybe some have a mongol great great great ancestor somewhere). RF citizens (Rosiyanini), of course, come in several races and many religious traditions.

@lassetapper2973 Dude, then why are you watching a video about Russia? Get out of Mom's basement and head to your nearest Tesco or Lidl or whatever.

@tdrs1765 LOL.

@rchird2010 You sound a little bitter Rick. I would say that I heard Russian on the Streets of South Orange County about once a week. Very affluent area..maybe they were 'oligarchs'. San Francisco has a small but very cool Russian neighborhood in the Mission...founded by White Russian refugees.

@rchird2010 And what bearing does that have on anything I wrote? The neighborhood in SF is still there. In fact there was a video on Telegram just recently of some Ukrainian woman on 13th (I think it was) and Geary bitching about Russians...in Russian. BTW there would never have been a Russian 'embassy' in SF because SF has never been the Capital of anything, not even Mexican run California. I no longer live in SoCal so I don't know if all the 'oligarchs' went home, but I doubt they were 'oligarchs' (rather than just successful businessmen) in the first place.

@rchird2010 Also Rick you might notice that oil, gas, and natural gas prices went up incredibly last year and are starting to creep up again. That's because it's a world market and cutting off Russian gas affects us all in the medium term and long term. If the US 'rescuing' Europe with our LNG has an adverse affect on us. Here in Cali we had a 4 fold spike last month, although our authorities assure us they have the situation under control. Also, Rick, fun fact. Between 2014 and 2019 the US was almost completely reliant on Russian spacelift capacity. As a patriotic American I'm glad that is no longer the case, but it was true.

@lassetapper2973 Yeah, look at it, the horror, the horror!

@lassetapper2973 Well, up until February 2022 'most Russians' could leave to go to the EU or the US, and they still can go to many many countries around the globe. But 'most Russians' remain in Russia and, as we see here, some foreigners even immigrate to Russia. And not just because of their wives...there's a great YT channel of an Australian couple that immigrated to Russia. Even if you are against a country, government, or people, it is best not to underestimate and/or dehumanize them. Or you end up making mistakes, as the Kremlin is finding out.

@TravellingwithRussell Because our media tells us they all fled the country or are hiding from the local military commissariat or dead.
