What impresses me the most about these videos is your contextual knowledge: how do you know in detail the politics, warfare and society of all these Communes along the medieval times at the same time? Not to mention the connection with imperial, papal, Angevin politics, etc.? Personally I am grateful to you for showing the world the history of these cities because as things stand today it is as if whole pages of history had been ripped out of mass culture: this is real European culture, not the antics like "the means of torture in the Middle Ages", "England's bloodiest dynasty" and all the other rubbish they concoct to mesmerize a severely undereducated audience.
