  1. It's very common for recent immigrants to still love their homeland and hope to return, someday, in a better position to help the old country. That said, what kind of ass-backward plan is it to get elected to a lowly congressional seat, then blow all your political capital on just griping about foreign affairs, expecting everyone else to kiss your ass? FAIL

  2. Ilhan Omar seems nothing like the wonderful Somali ladies I used to work with and occasionally help practice for their citizenship exams. Omar seems so aggrieved and hostile in comparison. It is fine to say and believe whatever one wishes, but it seems arrogant and just plain strange for a freshman U.S. Representative to be so vocal and outspoken on national media about such a narrow range of concerns, one of which, anti-Israeli measures, seems more like a personal prejudice and axe to grind. Is she thinking of the Minneapolitans who sent her to Congress at all ?

  3. Probably still pretty good, sadly. The people who put her there are entitled, rich, white Lords & Ladies Bountiful who do stuff like this in order to be able to tell each other that they are indeed Good People.
