  2. I pulled ambulance duty at a lot of stock car races, and the drivers are so adrenalized that they pop out the window after smacking into the wall and don't feel a twinge. Until maybe 2 hours later, after all that adrenaline has worn off.

  3. She's from Beloit, Wisconsin. That's also my state, and we have definite soda areas within it and definite pop areas. AFAIK, southern Wisconsin is "soda" all the way.

  4.  SlayerPayback  That is true. Sometimes she'd just randomly spin out. Other times, she'd nudge another driver's quarter panel, then get wrecked, herself. I've seen films of her hollering at another driver, accusing him of bumping her, and he yelled back that the other drivers were trying to stay the heck away from her erratic car.

  6. As I understand it, the heat, the g forces and even turning the steering wheel are tough. To the extent that women have as much endurance as men, that's good. But I think you need some decent guns to keep a race car steady, don't you? Women's upper bodies are our weakest link.
