  2.  @lukekoch9820  Self-centered people just tend to worsen with time. If Mr. Kozi feels good about the minimal contact, good for him, because she is not likely to suddenly start treating him well. I'm 54 and my mother is 85, and dealing with her is always a tough job. I am a psych nurse, and it takes all my skills to keep a lid on her tantrums and manipulative games. Disengagement is THE key skill, too. Furthermore, she is too self-absorbed to care what I think, ever.
