  12. @nuqwestr  Funny thing, I am Kamala's age and remember fighting for "Feedom!" myself, heh heh, when Milwaukee was enduring it's long, hot summer. I fought for feedom and practiced wearing big girl panties. Funny, I have only been to LA a couple of times but visited a friend near where you describe, somewhere between Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. I remember well the typical American experience there, with its temple guarded by black-clad armed guards and the Rolls Royce dealership.

  13. @nuqwestr  Good for you. I'm an apostate Dem, too. I used to chair my county party. My friend, may he rest in peace, was a retired Warner Bros. exec who lived up against a hill in a very tony-looking neighborhood. I can't even remember his address because somebody else was doing the driving, but I do remember lots of orthodox Jews walking around and a heavily guarded synagogue on the corner of a busy street. From my friend's terrace, you could see an interesting building, a heap of white stone, that marked Century City. So glad you are joining the cause.
