Tak tak tak Anders. Thank you for this short, clear explanation. Some of us do understand what genocide is or isn't, but people who don't sometimes need other people as to explain it to them in order to understand. I agree that it is important to know the difference and use the correct words for things. This little video can be helpful. It was a valuable upload.

@harmless6813 I agree.

So did I. And I agree with harmless. The thing is that when debating we must be careful to use these terms for what they are, and not to express our emotions. We have other words for that. "Warcrime" etc. is a specific sort of crime, "angry" can be my emotional reaction to it.

@MrTrenchcoatguy As Scandinavian I agree.

The Palestinians see themselves as a people. Then they are a people. Then they are a group. They, like the rest of us, have a right to self determination.

Denmark here. I actually did learn about these terms, in the 8th year of elementary school, and later in highschool.

Exactly. Genocide, crimes against humanity, warcrimes, there are clear definitions for all these. People tend to confuse them.

CeasarSvalad, and harmless, I agree with that.

@LeftFlamingo Good explanation, and @willbarnstead3194 the same to you. I agree with both of you. Genocide and ethnic cleansing are two different terms. They might go hand in hand, but not necessarily. There can be one without the other. It's important for us when debating to use the right terms, not to confuse them nor use them to express our personal feelings (we have words like "angry about..." for that).

@harmless6813 OK, the Palestinians I personally know see themselves as "a people", and it's my impression that the rest of the Palestinians mostly do that too. The Hamas, no, they don't see themselves as "a people" distinct as such from other Palestinians, they see themselves as a political group (a poltical group who use violence to try to achieve their political goals).

My own guess is that FSB would very fast get firm control, and things would continue with "business as usual" except without Pootin to as a national figure, and his ideas, to rally around. Pootin's great control over the whole mafia-like apparatus would be somewhat lost and could take years for a successor to build up. There would probably be retaliations in form of massive bombings of Ukranian civilians, and hybrid warfare attacks against the West.

It could be a question of collecting enough or the right evidence (yes, a TV broadcast is evidence that will stay). Every time Solovyov and Skabeyeva hear the word "warcrime" they go into panic overdrive, so they might just consider themselves warcriminals already. I think the countdown clock is ticking. I believe Ukraine itself considers these two and Simonyan as warcriminals to large extend. The "warcriminals deck of cards" Ukraine made last year (the same as the US did when invading Iraq in 2003) have all 3 of those RT people ranked as "queens".

But he is right. "Genocide" doesn't need to be deadly to be a genocide. "Warcrime" doesn't have to be deadly to be a warcrime. If it's not deadly doesn't make it less of a crime. I do agree that the Muscovites throughout history has committed lots of genocides against their neighbours.

You are right, and thank you for bringing attention to it.

The russian army is very large but ridiculously incompetent.
