  9. During my time in NS, I always encountered boots soles coming out problems. The CQ (store) always said no stocks for replacement. And I was asked to go find a cobbler myself outside. But the fix is temporary. And most CQs are very evil people. I was practically harassed by one doing my ROD clearance.

  12.  @grisly-bear585  On the topic of boots and mortar, I am reminded of an incident of a mortar man who had an accident during training. There is this bipod we used to support the barrel. During deployment we have to throw the bipod with spikes into the ground. He threw it onto his boot. It tore through the boots. He had a swollen feet and was limping for many days
