I liked how he took Stipe down. It was important that he not only defended the takedown but showed Stipe that he can wrestle too and can punish him for attempting to grapple with him. It was like when Cain took Brock Lesnar down.

The scariest thing is that on top of his terrifying power, he is actually very skilled. Kicks, submissions, wrestling. And Hes smart.

@jewellui I agree. It's really never been clear that Stipe is the best heavyweight of all time. He beat Francis 4 years ago when he was inexperienced. Couldn't finish him and got damage to his eye and face as result of the fight. Francis destroyed Stipe in the rematch and took little to no damage and he finished Stipe. Also look at their resume. Stipe beat a bunch of heavyweights on the tail end of their career just like Francis did. They both have wins over rising heavyweight prospect and Francis had win over Stipe while Stipe has win over DC. Their resumes are not much different especially when you consider that Stipe has been finished several times while no man had ever finished Francis. Also Stipe has not faced any of the current top contenders at heavyweight. Blaydes, Derrick Lewis, Volkov. I also think Cain Velasquez would have beaten him. DC finished him in one round and he only best DC after he had back surgery.

Youd think it would intimidate😨 future opponents. Like, they dont want to be the next recipient of the hammerfist to the throat. Hes going to crush someone's windpipe one day doing that

@kidusgebretensay7228 current healthy Francis, Cain Velasquez, prime JDS, pre back injury DC are all better than Stipe. Stipes resume consists of beating heavyweights on back end of their careers, not being able to finish an inexperienced and fatigued Ngannou, and beating DC twice after he had serious back surgery.

@kidusgebretensay7228 don't forget that the so called domination cane without a finish against an inexperienced fighter who had no stamina after three minutes. Don't forget that he took plenty of punishment in the fight then got destroyed bin a much dominant fashion when that fighter fixed his cardio and did not underestimate him. Don't forget that Stipe has been finished multiple times while only judges have awarded Francis losses.

@yeps0859 I agree with people that Gane is a boring fighter to watch. Heavy movement and you don't get the feeling there's a lot of pop to his strikes. He spams a lot of insignificant low leg kicks and plays touch and go. His style is vanilla . I can appreciate technical skills but Gane is as boring as it gets. Can you imagine this guy as the UFC heavyweight champion? Some touch and go guy that calls himself goodboy. I can't imagine anyone wanting to see his title fights. Zzzzzzzz Give me a break. Healthy Francis koing him is what was best for business
