Usman was always humble

@ninog9737 i wouldn't give khamzat credit for going through with it because that's really the easier move. If he didn't go through with it his reputation and stock would take a massive hit. It's almost like he didn't have a choice but to accept especially when his fans and Usman haters have been calling for this fight for years and saying that Usman would never fight him is scared of him.

@ninog9737 Usman would have been announced as a possible replacement just like chael sonnen was announced as a possible replacement for Jon to fight. We knew about Chael possibly stepping in before Jon accepted so why wouldn't we have known about Usman being a possibility especially now a days where everything gets out? Part of khamzat fame and popularity is that he's willing to fight anyone at anytime . If he backs out against Usman his reputation would take a hit. It's unbelievable that you don't understand this and I had to type all this out for you. People are dumb as hell.

@ninog9737 what's the relevance of the fight being cancelled in this conversation? It's irrelevant The entire argument is that him not taking the fight would be the harder thing to do because people would know that there was a replacement and that he turned them down. Your rebuttal to that was that the event would just be cancelled and no one would know Usman was a possible replacement. You can't even follow a conversation dude. O

@ninog9737 he's not getting credit because he really doesn't have a choice and it's the easier thing to do in this situation. Not taking the fight he loses money and also takes a massive hit in his reputation. He has no choice but to go along with the fight. I hope your IQ is high enough to eventually figure things out.

@ninog9737 funny you think I'm likely bad at chess. I'd likely crush you. I have an all time high rating of 2147 bullet on lichess and my blitz and rapid is at the same level . I've beaten players ranked 2200 over the board. It's funny you think no one would know that Usman was a potential opponent if khamzat turned down the fight when the very example were talking about everyone knew that chael was a rumored replacement even though Jon turned down the fight. So your statement that no on would have known Usman was a replacement is false. The ufc and Dana will also say if there were replacements. There's little difference between people seeing official documents that Usman was the replacement and people assuming it based on circumstantial evidence and strong rumors. The result is the same that his reputation would take a massive hit. Colby saying that people are afraid bro fight him isn't the same as rumor and word coming from ufc and people in charge that usman was a replacement. Even with Colby, a lot of people believe what he said and the reputation of those fighters took a hit. Think about how many people believed that Usman was ducking Colby the first two fights. It led to the hate against Usman piling on. Me saying that he'd lose money is not short term. Thinking about one loss is short term thinking. Being known as a duck and a fraud would make him less marketable than losing one fight against a goat opponent. It's not a short term thing either. People's reputation carries on for a long time.

@ninog9737 you're the one incapable of looking forward. If he fights there's a chance he wins. If he ducks the fight there's no chance. It's that he ducked Usman and isn't what he says he is. He is then seen as a fraud. Also him losing money is not a short term thing. It's long term. His stock will never be as high if he ducked the fight. It was an easier decision for him just to go along with it, preserve his reputation and have a chance to beat a goat fighter than duck the fight, lose money and time and miss out on having a guy like Usman on his resume. You're the one that's awful at chess and strategy.

@ninog9737 I never said that Paulo dropping out would hurt khamzats rep. I did say that him refusing to fight Usman in this situation would hurt his rep and stock. I knew you'd compare what happened to Jon with khamzat, but here's why it's different. Jon was already a champion with multiple defenses and he wasn't popular off an image of fighting anyone and fighting anytime like khamzat. His reputation did take a hit from ducking chael on short notice but the difference is that Jon was already hated at that point and wasn't loved like khamzat. There was a lot more that people hated Jon for than the sonnen incident so it was just another piece of trash in the garbage pile. Khamzat is loved right now and that can change from love to hate real quick. Khamzat is a fairly young fighter who isn't as established as Jon so his stock can drop quicker due to actions and decisions he makes . For example look at his level of popularity before and after the Gilbert burns fight. It was night and day. When you are young in your career fans can quickly turn on you. Also khamzats popularity and reputation is mostly based on being a tough guy that will fight anyone at anytime. He's like a gimmick right now. If it's known that he ducked a tough fight in Usman for easier fight he'd lose a lot of fans and that thing that makes him so popular and different. I'm not a khamzat hater at all. I like the guy I just think that him choosing to go through with fighting Usman is the easier choice than NOT fighting him. You keep talking about him possibly losing to Usman but you fail to realize that he can also beat Usman and beating Usman would raise his stock and popularity much more than ducking the fight and beating a lesser opponent. There's more to gain from taking the fight and more to lose from not taking it. A loss to a welterweight goat doesn't hurt khamzat legacy like being known as a duck and a fraud.
